I know it’s not over yet, still four more months until 2019 is over but as the summer winds down I found myself looking backward at the work I’ve created this year and I must say, I’ve been prolific for me. I can point back to a conversation I had with a friend about being proud of our accomplishments and being brave when feeling less than confident. That was a game changer for me, saying YES! to my own creative urges and impulses, not over-thinking what I was making, just going with the artistic energy flowing from me.
Dang, I started this post, literally in 2019. The same is true today in 2025. I have to keep reminding myself to be me, to do me, and keep other people’s opinions out of my head. Just put my head down and do me. I forbid overthinking, I forbid judgment though I allow questions. I’ve always said if you have to ask the question, you already know the answer. I just gotta keep paying attention and show up. End of story.
